Black Rock Depths

Here is the game plan for Saturday night, 9 Dec 06, We take over the underground gang of dark dwarves and show them that only death awaits those who challenge the Ashen Guarde. The following people have signed up to decimate the Depths:

Quest Information on BRD - the Taste of Flame quest has a number of prereqs that take some time. Similarly you have to do a lot of running around to get to Marshal Windsor - so don't leave it till the last minute. This is all from Allakahzam - I'll edit if anything else of use in the Dungeon Guide. Note I've included The Challenge for completeness but obviously we wont be doing.

Note the smileys below are eight's - couldn't figure out why they turned up in some places and not others.

Quests to Gather Beforehand
A Taste of Flame - starts Cyrus Therepentous located Burning Steppes (94, 31). To do this quest you need a Black Dragonflight Molt. This is part of a long chain that starts with Divine Retribution [48] which you get from Kalaran Windblade in Searing Gorge loc (39, 38).

Hurley Blackbreath – starts Ragnar Thunderbrew located Dun Morogh loc 46, 52. Part of short chain that starts with Ragnar Thunderbrew [55] which you get from Enohar Thunderbrew in Blasted Lands loc (63, 20)

Kharan Mighthammer – starts King Magni Bronzebeard located City of Ironforge loc (39, 55). Part of a chain that starts with The Smoldering Ruins of Thaurissan [54] which you get from the Royal Historian Archesonus in Ironforge loc (38, 55). Chain requires you to go to BRD, return to IF, go back to BRD and kill a boss then return to IF.

Marshal Windsor – starts with Marshal Maxwell in Burning Steppes loc (84, 68). Part of a chain that starts with Dragonkin Menace (Elite) [54] which you get from Helendis Riverhorn in Burning Steppes loc (85, 68). This quest chain involves a lot of running around. Marshal Windsor, who you have to find is located near entrance to instance. Once you complete, which involves going back to Marshal Maxwell, you need to farm Dark Iron Dwarves to get A Crumpled Note, which starts the next part of the chain. Chain includes a tough escort quest inside BRD and later killing Onyxia.

Overmaster Pyron - starts Jalinda Sprig in Burning Steppes (85, 69). Involves killing a mob outside the instance portal – returning to Jalinda and then going back into the instance to kill a boss for the follow-up called Incendius.

Ribbly Screwspigot – starts with Yuka Screwspigot in Burning Steppes loc (65, 22). Prereq is Yuka Screwspigot [53] which you get from Yorba Screwspigot in Tanaris loc (67, 23)

The Challenge – starts with Falrin Treeshaper in Dire Maul – this is part of the armour upgrade quest chain which starts with Dead Man’s Plea [60] which starts with Ysida Harmon in Stratholme.

The Good Stuff – starts with Oralius in Burning Steppes loc (84, 68)

The Heart of the Mountain – starts with Maxwort Uberglint in Burning Steppes loc (65, 23)


Quests Starting In Blackrock Depths

Dark Iron Legacy. Starts Franclorn Forgewright Loc 35, 84 in Forgewright’s Tomb BRD before instance – must be in ghost form to talk to him. Leads to Dark Iron Legacy

Morndeep the Elder – Reward is a Coin of Ancestry. Inside instance.

Rocknot’s Ale – Reward is a Dark Iron Ale Mug that you must give to Rocknot to get out of the Grim Guzzler bar. Rocknot starts a fight that turns phalanx hostile. Inside instance.

The Love Potion. Starts Mistress Nagmara inside instance. This quest requires you to gather 4 Gromsblood, 10 Giant Silver Vein from giants in Azshara and to fill a vial in Un’Goro then return to the Grim Guzzler. Inside Instance.

Spectral Chalice Starts (TBA) Requires you to gather 2 Star Ruby, 20 Gold Bar and 10 Truesilver Bar.

Missed one

Attunement to the Core from Lothos Riftwalker - just before entrance to Forgewrights Tomb - quest that lets you get into the Molten Core

The attunement for MC is realy very easy as well as the attunement for BWL.

For MC, get the quest from the dude. Venture into BRD. Get to the flame guy, jump into the lava below him, go swimming while trying not to die. Get the the entrance of MC and click on the stone. Then talk to the quest dood again.

Ok, with that said. IF you understand anything I said. You get a cookie. FR gear is a must for this or Fire Protection pots atleast. But if by the time you are trying to get attuned for MC you should have decent FR gear anyways. And the best place to farm FR gear is UBRS. MC is a very difficult place and the bosses are pretty difficult. But its fun.

Ony Key Quest chain is a pain in the butt. Crumpled note drop sux. But the whole running through the cave nakid in Winterspring is kinda fun. And the nice thing about the key is, its a necklace with FR. So, win win
situation.

BWL attunement consists of getting a note from a guard by the entrance to UBRS. Killing Drakisath. Clicking on the orb behind him. Clicking on the orb at the end of the UBRS hallway and entering BWL. Be carefull tho, if you go in and on the platform, you will die a quick painful death. Those guys mean buisness.

Key for DM is chasing the lil imp guy around DM. He is a pain in the butt and runs from you the whole time.

Attunement for Naxx is the worse I think. You get it from a lady in EPL at Lights Hope Chapel. If you are exalted with Argent Dawn its free with mats. If you are Revered its like 30g, some archanite bars and a couple Nexus crystals.

Having done this Instance 7 times in 3 days i no what to expect i say focus on CC and MC and you guys will go great also a warlock is so handy to banish the ever annoying elementals
